Lesnar is the third born child of Benter the
innkeeper of the XxxInn in xxx, near the templefortress of Helm. He was born 18
years ago, during a vicious thunderstorm, following a long and difficult labor.
After almost a complete day of labor and several tense moments, Lesnar was
finally born, his mother however did not survive the
ordeal.
During the first few years of his life he was
taken care of by his oldest sister, whom was 8 years old at the time of his
birth. His father was blaming him for the death of his beloved wife. He threw
himself on his work at the inn and neglected his only son. Towards Lesnars
sisters however he was always a loving father.
When Lesnar reached the age of six it was
obvious that the lack of breastfeeding as a baby left him with frail health,
and he frequently got ill. One day he got a nasty feaver and it seemed as if
this time he would probably not survive the ordeal. His oldest sister pleaded
with their father to try bond with his only son, as it could very well be the
last chance the two of them would get.
For the first time in over six years, the
father took the time to be with his only son and bonded with him. He saw that
his son was not an evil monster that took his wife, but a scared little boy
whom was fighting for his life. After seeing the error he had made, which cost
him and his son six years of their lives they should have spent together, he
franticly tried to raise money so he could take Lesnar to the Templefortress
and have the priests cure his disease.
He would never be able to raise enough money by
himself, but the village weaponsmith took pitty on the worried innkeeper and
offered to give him the money. In return he asked that the innkeeper would
close his inn one day of the week, and spend that time with his son, after he
recovers.
The years following that the innkeeper and his
son grew closer, and Lesnar was growing up into a jolly kid. At the age of
twelve, Lesnar was sleeping in his bed, when he awoken from screams he heard
coming from the other rooms. The village was under attack from undead. Only the
brave actions from several youths and a couple of priests of Helm stopped the
anslaugth.
This event caused Lesnar to become very
interested in the priests of Helm. He was very interrested in all the stories
Kellisar and Gri’shak told about their adventures they had after the attack and
he started training for the upcoming tournament, that would determine which of
the youths would get the chance to become a priest of Helm.
The day of the tournament came and Lesnar was
determined to win. The competition was strong and his lack of constitution
nearly cost him several test, his strength of will and determination, however,
made up for this shortcoming.
He begane training and after passing all the
final tests he became a full pledged priest of Helm. This, however, was not
enough for Lesnar, he was determined to become part of the elite priests of
Helm, those who would go out in the world and make a diffirence. Much like
Kellisar did, when the undead attack came, so many years ago.
After another year of intense training he had
achieved his goal and became a specialty priest. He was anxious to set out
in the world, but his senior priest would not allow it. He pleaded that he
wanted to become better in his duties and that staying at the fortress would
not help him reach that goal. Kellisar heard his words and suggested to the
senior priest to let him take Lesnar and Brock to his old friend Gri’shak,
who now was the lord of a small country with an impressive castle.
